My Star LED Board has no sign-up and no login. We do not collect your name, contact details, email or location.
The text you enter on a display, your saved displays and the photos you choose as backgrounds are stored only on your phone and are not sent to the Company’s servers.
1. Information we collect
When you use the app: a random device identifier created when the app is first launched (this is not your advertising ID, phone number or device serial number), and the times of your first and most recent access.
When you buy a pass: the product type (24-hour pass, 7-day pass, monthly subscription), the purchase identifier issued by Google Play (purchase token), the purchase, expiry and storage-period end times, and the pass status. Payment method details such as card or bank account numbers are handled by Google Play; the Company does not receive them.
When you watch an ad to unlock a feature: the type of feature unlocked, the time it was unlocked and the time it ends, and the reward confirmation value provided by the ad provider.
When you contact us: the inquiry type, the inquiry text you write, the app version, and our reply.
Automatically: the internet address you connect from (IP address). We use it only to count requests, to prevent automated abuse in which requests are repeated excessively within a short time.
For ads: the advertising identifier (see Section 3).
For app usage statistics: app usage records such as screen views and feature use (the text you type is never sent), the app instance ID created by Google Analytics, and the advertising ID.
We do not collect your name, phone number, email address, postal address, location or contact list. Replies to inquiries are shown only inside the app, without any contact details.
2. How we use the information
- To verify and maintain your pass (ad removal, all premium features, storage for 100 displays)
- To calculate the storage period and clearing time after a pass ends
- To process purchase restoration and payment cancellations and refunds
- To let you use a feature unlocked by watching an ad for 24 hours
- To reply to inquiries
- To protect the Service from automated abuse
- To show ads that allow free use
- To produce usage statistics that help us improve the app
3. Advertising identifier
When you use the app for free, we show ads through Google AdMob. In this process, your Android advertising ID may be passed to the ad provider.
The advertising ID does not directly identify you, and you can reset it or turn off personalized ads at any time in your device settings (Android Settings > Privacy > Ads; menu names may differ slightly by device).
We do not show ads while you have a pass. Even without a pass, we do not place ads on the screen where a display is running.
4. How long we keep information
Text, saved displays and background photos on your phone: these stay only on your phone until you delete them yourself or delete the app. Displays you delete in the app are kept on your phone for 30 days in case you deleted them by mistake, and are then erased. If you delete the app, all data on your phone is removed and the Company cannot restore it.
Device identifier and pass status: kept while you use the app, and deleted when you request deletion (except for the records we must keep by law, listed in this section).
Pass payment and transaction records: kept for 5 years under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Korea).
Records of features unlocked through ads: kept while you use the app, and deleted when you request deletion.
Inquiry content: kept for 3 years so we can check earlier replies when the same inquiry comes up again.
IP addresses used to count requests: used only for the short time window in which requests are counted, and not used for any other purpose.
App usage statistics (Google Analytics): kept for 2 months after collection, then deleted.
Where a law sets a separate retention period, we follow that period.
5. Do we share it with others?
We do not sell or hand over your information to other companies.
We provide it only when an investigative agency requests it through lawful procedures under the law, and even then we provide only the minimum requested.
6. Processors we entrust
Server hosting and infrastructure operation: ㈜클루시스 — the information we receive on our servers as described in Section 1 is stored on its servers (in Korea).
Ad serving: Google LLC (Google AdMob) — advertising identifier, and ad impression, click and reward information.
App distribution, pass payment processing and purchase verification: Google LLC (Google Play).
App usage statistics: Google LLC (Google Analytics for Firebase) — app usage records, app instance ID, advertising ID.
If a processor changes, we will update this policy and let you know.
6-1. Information transferred abroad
Because Google Play processes pass payments, the purchase identifier and pass status are exchanged with the servers of Google LLC (USA) when they are verified. The transfer takes place each time a purchase, renewal, restoration or verification happens, and the method is encrypted communication (TLS).
The same applies to the advertising identifier passed to Google LLC (USA) in the course of showing ads (Section 3).
App usage statistics (Section 1) are also transferred to Google LLC (USA) over encrypted communication (TLS) while you use the app.
You may refuse the transfer. If you do, you only won’t be able to buy passes or unlock features through ads; there is no disadvantage for creating, saving and running displays.
7. Children’s personal information
This app has no sign-up and does not collect information that can identify a child, such as a name or contact details. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14, and if we find that we have, we delete it.
8. Your rights
You can ask to view, correct or delete your information, or to stop its processing.
You can edit and delete the text and saved displays on your phone yourself in the app.
To delete information held on our servers, please make a request by following Data deletion. We process requests within 10 days of receipt and let you know the result.
We will not treat you unfavorably for exercising your rights.
9. What we do to keep information safe
Communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
Because there is no login, we do not receive or store passwords.
We limit the people who can access information to the minimum needed for operation, and keep logs of access to the admin screens.
10. Chief Privacy Officer
Officer: 김정민 (Kim Jeong-min)
Contact: please send inquiries through Settings > Contact us in the app. You can see replies under Your inquiries on the same screen.
If you need help with a privacy violation, you can contact the following organizations: Personal Information Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118 with no area code), Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972), Supreme Prosecutors’ Office Cyber Investigation Division (1301), Korean National Police Agency Cyber Bureau (ecrm.police.go.kr, 182).
11. When this policy changes
When we change this policy, we give notice in the app and on this page starting 7 days before the effective date. Changes unfavorable to users are announced starting 30 days before.
