Please read this before using My Star LED Board. We kept the wording simple and wrote down only what we actually do.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between you and (주)파랑 (PARANG Inc.) (the “Company”) when you use the Android app My Star LED Board (the “Service”) provided by the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)
“User” means a person who uses the Service under these Terms. There is no sign-up and no login.
“Display” means the text you enter together with its font, color, effect, background and motion settings.
“Premium features” means features in the Service marked with a lock, such as fonts, effects and backgrounds.
“Pass” means a paid product (24-hour pass, 7-day pass, monthly subscription) that provides all premium features, ad removal and storage for up to 100 displays for a set period.
Article 3 (Posting and changes to the Terms)
You can view these Terms at any time on this page and in the app (Settings > Terms of Service).
The Company may change these Terms to the extent this does not violate applicable law. We give notice of changes starting 7 days before the effective date. Changes unfavorable to users are announced starting 30 days before.
If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete the app.
Article 4 (What the Service provides)
The Service lets you enter text and show it large on your phone screen like an LED sign board, offers Easy mode and detailed editing, and lets you save displays and turn them on again.
Creating and running displays and saving 1 display are free.
The Service is provided only as an Android app; on the web we provide only information and the terms.
Article 5 (Saved displays)
Saved displays are stored only on your phone. If you delete the app or change phones, the Company cannot restore them for you.
You can save 1 display when using the Service for free, and up to 100 while you have a pass.
When a pass ends, your displays are not deleted right away; they are kept for a storage period: 24 hours for a 24-hour pass, 7 days for a 7-day pass, and 15 days for a monthly subscription. If you buy a pass again within the storage period, all your saved displays remain as they are.
After the storage period, only the 1 display you used most recently is kept and the rest are cleared. The app shows you the scheduled clearing date in advance.
Displays that use premium features remain after a pass ends, but those features may be shown with their default values instead.
Article 6 (Your obligations)
Please do not do any of the following.
- Showing text in public places that infringes others’ rights (such as portrait rights, trademarks or copyright) or that defames or insults others
- Tampering with the app or using automated tools to obtain passes or ad rewards improperly
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
Venues such as concert halls, stadiums and airports may have their own rules on using sign boards. Please follow the guidance of each venue.
Article 7 (Ads)
The Service shows ads so that it can be used for free. Ads appear only as a banner at the very top of the screen, once a day when you open the app, when you return after turning off a display, and as rewarded ads that you choose yourself.
We do not place ads on the screen where a display is running or on the pass purchase screen.
If you watch a rewarded ad to the end, you can use 1 premium feature of your choice for 24 hours.
Article 8 (Passes)
There are three passes — 24-hour pass, 7-day pass and monthly subscription. They all have the same benefits and differ only in length: all premium features, ad removal, and storage for up to 100 displays.
The price is the amount shown on the app’s pass screen and on the Google Play payment screen.
The 24-hour pass and 7-day pass are one-time payments and do not renew automatically. The monthly subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
We do not raise the price for users with an active pass at our discretion. If the price changes, we give advance notice following Google Play’s procedures and Article 3.
Payments are made through your Google account, so on any device using the same Google account you can get your pass back with [Restore purchases] in the app.
Article 9 (Cancellation, refunds and payments by minors)
You can cancel the monthly subscription at any time in Google Play’s subscription management. Even after you cancel, you can keep using it until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that, automatic renewal stops.
Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy and procedures. Where withdrawal of a purchase is allowed under applicable law, the Company also guarantees it; contact us and we will guide you.
If a payment is canceled or refunded, the benefits of that pass end at that moment.
Users under 19 must obtain the consent of a legal guardian before making a payment. A payment made without consent can be canceled by the user or the legal guardian (Article 5 of the Civil Act (Korea)).
Article 10 (Changes to and suspension of the Service)
The Company may change the content of the Service or suspend part of it. We give advance notice of changes that significantly affect users.
Due to unavoidable reasons such as system maintenance, equipment failure or network outages, features that need a server, such as pass verification and ad rewards, may be temporarily unavailable. Creating, saving and running displays work without an internet connection.
Article 11 (Liability)
The Company works to keep the Service running reliably, but is not liable for damage caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, power outages or carrier network failures.
You are responsible for the content of the text you display and for any problems it causes.
Keeping the screen on and bright for a long time may increase battery use and heat.
Article 12 (Governing law and disputes)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
If a dispute arises in connection with the use of the Service, the parties will in principle try to resolve it through discussion; if that fails, it will be brought before the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act (Korea).
